Affiliate requests (accept / decline / auto-accept)
Written by Joran Hofman, Founder of ReditusAffiliates who want to join your program send you a request, unless you accept everyone automatically. Each request shows who the affiliate is, their answers to your application questions, and the data from the Google Analytics or YouTube account they connected.
Accepting or declining a request
- Open the affiliate requests tab under Affiliates, where new applications show up.
- Click a row to open the request.
- Review the information, then accept or decline the affiliate.
Every request gives you:
- the affiliate's general information
- data from their connected platform (Google Analytics or YouTube), which proves they own the site or channel and shows where their traffic comes from
- their answers to your application questions
What to look at
Judge an affiliate on where their traffic is, not on where they live. An affiliate based in another country can still reach exactly your customers.
The easy decline is the combination of traffic in the wrong region, no connected website, and odd answers to your questions. A promising applicant, from anywhere, has a connected site with traffic in your target region.
Screening affiliates with questions
With auto-accept off, you can ask affiliates questions when they apply. Switch the pre-defined questions we created for you on or off in your affiliate program settings, under application questions. The answers come in with the request.
Auto-accept: skip the manual review
If you don't want to review every request by hand, switch on auto-accept. Every affiliate who applies is then accepted automatically. Affiliates like a fast answer, and they can filter the marketplace on programs with auto-accept.
You can also auto-accept only the affiliates you invite yourself. Both options: auto-approve affiliates.
Partnership requests to vetted affiliates
On Scale Up and Enterprise you can also send partnership requests yourself, to affiliates in the vetted affiliate database. The affiliate accepts or declines your request in one click.
