This guide takes you from signup to your first affiliates. A typical technical installation (steps 3 to 5) takes under 30 minutes.

Looking to promote B2B SaaS products as an affiliate instead? Sign up as an affiliate.

1. Sign up

  • Go to the Reditus signup page and create an account with your work email address.
  • Enter your company's domain. Within about five minutes Reditus shows you potential affiliates, including who already recommends your competitors with an affiliate link.
  • You don't choose a plan at signup: you start on the 14-day free trial, no credit card needed.

Reditus is built for B2B SaaS companies; for ecommerce or consumer businesses it is not the right fit. Not sure whether it fits you? Book a demo.

2. Create your affiliate program

Decide how much commission you give away and for how long, and fill in the details about your company: Reditus uses them to create your program's landing page and signup page for affiliates. The setup also asks for your cookie window, your payout threshold and your program terms. New programs start with a 60-day cookie window and a $100 payout threshold, and you can change both.

3. Install the tracking script

Add the tracking script to the header of every page of your main domain and of every subdomain in your funnel, including the page where people sign up. You find the script in the installation tab of your settings. Google Tag Manager works.

Typically no cookie consent is needed: the Reditus cookie only records whether a signup came via an affiliate and builds no visitor profile. This is based on the opinion of a Dutch lawyer and may not apply in every country (for example Germany), so check your own local regulations (why you don't need to ask for cookie consent). If a consent banner holds the script back until a visitor accepts, signups from visitors who decline can't be credited to the affiliate.

4. Add the signup snippet

Once the tracking script is live, add the signup snippet to your code so it fires when a new account is created. It tells Reditus who signed up, so the signup is credited to the right affiliate.

gr('track', 'conversion', { email: 'email@example.com' });

  • Copy the exact snippet from the installation tab, and replace email@example.com with the real email from your signup form (or send your own unique ID).
  • Fire it once, only on a successful new signup, never on login.
  • It has to run on a page where the tracking script is installed.
  • With several signup methods (email and password, Google, Microsoft), trigger it right after signup, for example on the first onboarding step, so every path is covered.

If your site also has a demo booking, track both: the signup snippet on your signup form and Calendly or HubSpot for the bookings, whichever you book demos with. Connecting Calendly and forgetting the snippet is the most common setup mistake we see.

More: installing the signup snippet, the signup snippet in Bubble and testing the signup snippet.

5. Connect your payment processor

Affiliates earn commission when a referred customer pays, so Reditus needs your payment data.

  • Stripe: connect Stripe in the installation tab.
  • Any other processor (Paddle, Chargebee, Lemon Squeezy, PayPal and others): send your payments through the Payments API. See also the Reditus API.

Then check your installation: the installation tab says "pending installation" until the test link confirms the tracking script and a test signup confirms the snippet.

6. Set up your program details

7. Invite your own network

Start with the people who already know you. Invite your users into your in-app referral program, and the agencies, consultants and partners who already recommend you into your affiliate program. A link to your affiliate program in your website footer helps people find it. Turn on auto-accept if you want affiliates approved automatically; otherwise you review each request (auto-approve affiliates). See inviting affiliates to your program.

8. Connect HubSpot or Slack (optional)

  • HubSpot: push your affiliate and advocate data into HubSpot, for example to run your own onboarding flows. See the HubSpot setup guide.
  • Slack: get Reditus notifications in Slack.

Both connect in your integrations settings. All options: all Reditus integrations.

9. Follow your results

Per affiliate you see the clicks, referrals, revenue generated and commission paid. The reporting section shows month over month, week over week and day over day, for your whole program, per affiliate or per tier. See reporting and analytics.
