What Should Your SaaS Affiliate Terms & Conditions Include? | Template

The Reditus affiliate terms template
The template is a Google Doc. Make a copy, fill in your own terms and add anything specific to your product. It's available on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. To get it, ask us in the chat.
Decide your terms first
Settle these before you fill in the template. They are the decisions Reditus asks for when you set up your program:
- Commission: how much you pay and for how long. A schedule is a set percentage for a set number of months, for example 10% for 12 months, and lifetime commission is possible too.
- Cookie period: how long after a click a signup still counts for the affiliate. New programs start at 60 days, and you can set anything from 1 to 365 days.
- Payout threshold: the minimum an affiliate earns in your program before a payout. New programs start at $100. See which payout threshold to use.
- Paid ads: whether affiliates may run paid ads, for example on your brand name. Your program's landing page shows your paid-ads policy. See setting up your paid-ads policy.
Rules you can enforce
You keep full control over who stays in your program, and you can remove an affiliate who breaks your rules. Reditus flags referrals from the same IP address, the same email address and Google paid ads, and you can switch on auto-reject for each of them. Agencies often sign up and pay on behalf of a client from a shared IP address, which is normal, so keep that in mind before you auto-reject on IP. More in how Reditus helps you avoid fraud.
No tool can see inside an affiliate's ad account, so a rule against bidding on your brand name is yours to enforce.
The general affiliate terms
Every program on Reditus also falls under the general Reditus Affiliate Partner Terms at getreditus.com/affiliate-terms. Their paid-ads clauses apply unless your program's paid-ads policy explicitly allows those ads, so your own policy decides.
