Affiliate: FAQ for payouts
Payouts to affiliates happen primarily via PayPal. If you want to be paid another way, you have to agree that with the SaaS company directly.
You receive a payout once your pending payout reaches the threshold, which updates on the 1st of the month. The SaaS company then has a month to pay their affiliates.
Can I be paid out differently than PayPal?
PayPal is the default payout method, but the SaaS company can agree to pay you differently. That agreement is between you and the SaaS company, so contact them directly to arrange it.
The other common methods are Wise and IBAN bank transfer. No SaaS company pays out via bitcoin or other digital currency.
When do I receive my payment or payout?
You need to have reached the threshold set by the company. Once you reach it and the payout updates on the 1st of the month, the SaaS company has 30 days to pay out the commission. They get that window because refunds happen, and it blocks typical fraud activity.
The steps you need to complete to receive a payout:
- Generate referrals.
- Your referrals start paying the SaaS, which generates commissions.
- Your accumulated commissions surpass the threshold set by the SaaS.
- Wait until the 1st of the month, when the payout is generated and updated.
- The SaaS company pays out the commission within 30 days.
Add your PayPal details to your account so nothing delays the payment.
Can I speed up the payout process?
The timing follows the threshold and the monthly cycle. Before a payout exists, you need to have:
- Generated paid referrals that convert into commission
- Accumulated commissions above the payout threshold
- Waited until the payout is created on the 1st of the month
