How do affiliate pay outs work?
Congratulations on earning your first commission. Payouts at Reditus run on a fixed monthly cycle, and the SaaS company pays you directly.
Five things have to happen before the money reaches your account:
- Your referrals start a paid subscription.
- Commissions add up past the program's payout threshold.
- Payment details are filled in inside your Reditus account settings.
- On the first of the month, the payout is created for the SaaS company.
- The SaaS company verifies and processes the payment.
1. Generate paid clients
To be eligible for a commission payout, you first have to bring in paid clients through your affiliate efforts. A signup on its own does not generate commission, the referral has to start a paid subscription.
Each program shows how much commission you earn as a percentage, and for how long that commission keeps running.
2. Reach the payout threshold
Each SaaS company sets its own payout threshold, and you need to pass that minimum to qualify for payment. You can see the threshold on the program's landing page inside the marketplace, and at the moment you earn a commission.

3. Add your payment details
Add your payment information in your Reditus account settings to avoid delays. All payouts run via PayPal by default, and PayPal is also what you add inside your Reditus account.
If you cannot take money via PayPal, you can agree on a different payout method when the SaaS company allows it. The SaaS companies pay you out directly, so that agreement sits between you and the SaaS company. That is why the app does not let you add anything else.
You can add your PayPal address here.

4. Payouts are created for the SaaS company
Once you have passed the payout threshold and your payment details are updated, you are eligible to receive your commission. Commissions accumulate, and payouts are all triggered on the first of the month for the SaaS companies.
At that point your upcoming commissions move to pending payouts. The SaaS company then has a month to verify and process your payment.
5. Overdue payments
If you passed the threshold, added your PayPal email, and still did not receive the payment within the allocated time, the payout is marked as overdue. You can track that in your dashboard.
We send the SaaS company a notification that the payment needs to be processed. You can always contact the SaaS company yourself as well.
Worth knowing before you chase it:
- Some SaaS companies require you to send an invoice.
- Others want to pay out through a different method.
Contact the SaaS company to find out why your payment went to overdue.
