Read the click months: what to measure in months two and three, in order
After this lesson you can
Measure clicks, then signups, then trial quality by affiliate, judge ICP fit before volume, and stop watching revenue until the lag has had time to work.
Read the click months: what to measure in months two and three, in order

Months two and three are the click months. Affiliates have published, traffic starts, and the dashboard finally has something in it. Read it in this order, and read it every week.
Clicks, then signups, then trials
Clicks first, per affiliate: who is sending traffic, from which page or post, and how much. Reditus shows the source, so you can see whether the clicks come from an article, a newsletter or an ad. Compare the volume against what you expected from the asks you sent in Track 3; an affiliate who published and sends nothing has a page nobody is reading yet, which is normal in month two.
Then signups, but treat them with suspicion. Signups mislead more than any other number, because an affiliate can generate plenty of referrals that are all personal email addresses and free-trial tourists. Look at who signed up, not how many. Business domains, the right countries, the right company size. Then trials, and here you have a benchmark already: your own funnel. Referred trials should convert to paid at least as well as your other channels, and usually better, because someone the buyer trusts sent them.
Fit before volume
Ten trials from the right audience are worth more than a hundred from the wrong one. Tag the affiliates whose referrals look like your best customers, even if their volume is small; those are the affiliates you will build the next tier and the next recruiting round around. If you push affiliate data into your CRM through the HubSpot or User.com integration, this is where it pays off: you can see which referred signups become opportunities without waiting for the payment.
What to judge an affiliate on
Not clicks, not signups. Revenue per affiliate, and its direction, and earnings per click as the comparison across affiliates. An affiliate with few clicks and high earnings per click has an audience that buys; an affiliate with thousands of clicks and nothing behind them is sending the wrong people, or sending them from an ad on a keyword that does not convert. Everything else in the reports is useful context. Those two are the judgement.
Show affiliates their numbers
If affiliates cannot see what their traffic did, nothing happens; if they can, the ones who are close to a first commission lean in. Their dashboard does this by default. What it cannot do is tell them what to change, and that is the email you send the affiliate whose clicks convert badly: which page, which audience, what the ones who convert do differently.
What to expect
Ballpark figures for this stage. Not promises: your trial length and how you recruit move them in both directions.

Key takeaways
- Read clicks, then signups, then trials, per affiliate, weekly from month two.
- Signups mislead. Look at who signed up: business domains, right countries, right size.
- Referred trials should convert at least as well as your other channels. That is your benchmark.
- Judge an affiliate on revenue and earnings per click, not on clicks or signups.
- Affiliates who see what their traffic did lean in. Tell the ones converting badly what to change.

Do this before the next lesson
Each step says how much counts as done. Doing a third of it and moving on is how programs stall.

Questions we hear at this point
We have clicks but no signups. What is wrong?
Usually one of three things, in this order: the traffic is from the wrong audience or the wrong keyword, so check where it comes from per affiliate; your own funnel converts it badly, so compare against your other channels; or, rarely, the signup snippet is not firing on every path, which Track 1 covers. Nothing about affiliates fixes a funnel that does not convert.
Our numbers do not match the affiliate's numbers.
Attribution rules explain most gaps: a customer is credited to the first affiliate who referred them, a signup only counts once the snippet fires, and a referral outside the cookie window does not count. Check the referral in question against those three before anything else.
