Intro into Reditus installation

Reditus runs two programs on one tracking setup: an in-app referral program for your users and an affiliate program for people outside your company. Both use the same tracking script, signup snippet and payment connection, so you install everything once. If someone clicks both an advocate's link and an affiliate's link, the last click before signup gets the referral.

What you need to install

1. The tracking script in the header of your main domain and of every subdomain in your funnel, such as the app subdomain where people sign up. Google Tag Manager works.
2. The signup snippet in your code. It fires once when a new account is created and sends Reditus the new user's email or your own unique ID. For a demo-led funnel, this step can be your demo booking instead: Calendly or a HubSpot form or calendar on your own site, whichever you book demos with.
3. Your payment processor: connect Stripe, or send your payments through the Payments API if you bill with Paddle, Chargebee, Lemon Squeezy or another processor.

A typical technical installation takes under 30 minutes. The signup snippet goes into your code, so you will need a developer for that step.

Track every call to action

Many B2B SaaS sites have two calls to action: book a demo and a signup form. Reditus needs both tracked to credit your affiliates. The most common setup mistake we see is connecting Calendly for step 2, taking the step as done, and never installing the signup snippet on the signup form. Demo bookings then show up, but signups through the form are never credited to the affiliates who sent them.

Check your installation

Until everything works, the installation tab in your settings says "pending installation". Use the test link on that tab to check the tracking script, and make a test signup on your own platform to check the signup snippet: a test signup is the only way to validate it.
